About Barb Dafforn

Firstly I would like to introduce myself and tell you about my story:

I started my Registered General Nurse training over 30 years ago and during this time I have encountered and experienced many different aspects within the general nursing field.

As part of my ongoing Professional Development I successfully completed my Independent Nurse Prescribing course at Essex University in 2011.

I was already interested in medical aesthetics but research showed me how challenging a field it is to break into, and I was advised to start with Facial Aesthetics.

After 15 years experience as a practices nurse I have a keen interest in helping women peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms and undertaking the BMS training.

A Qualified Nurse Prescriber

Being Qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber enables me to give a full and comprehensive treatment starting with the initial consultation, provision of prescription and treatment, aftercare and follow-up without having to consult with a doctor.

My Credentials

I have successfully completed a course in Advanced wrinkle relaxing injections for professionals using BOTULINIUM TOXIN A and I have also had extensive training in fillers and am able to offer my clients the amazing 8 POINT LIFT.

Technique Development

I frequently visit practitioners at the forefront or technique development for further training; keeping up to date with new techniques and information as it is discovered.

In 2015 I was invited to become an Ambassador for Obagi Skin Care. This enables me to offer a wide range of medical skin treatments focusing on acne, roseacia, age spots, freckles, pigmentation, eczema and psoriasis as well as for aging skin.
